When something sounds too good to be true, it usually is—unless that something is Blue Point Brewing Company’s launch party for its Good Reef Ale Thursday, Sept. 13. The light, citrusy beer goes down easy, especially considering that each pint helps fund the Billion Oyster Project’s efforts to restore local oyster reefs and improve water quality. Thursday’s soiree features the same altruistic spirit, with your $10 ticket benefitting the project’s work, so bask in your good deeds while slurping down as many oysters from local farmers and as much Blue Point beer as you can manage. The party is taking over the Wavertree ship at the South Street Seaport from 6 to 9pm.
