The temperature is starting to feel like fall, and with it comes the best running weather of the year. This season’s best running event is coming right up: The NYCRUNS Brooklyn Marathon and Half Marathon on Saturday, October 20.
Race weekend starts on Friday, with an expo hosted at City Point in downtown Brooklyn, the borough’s latest food and cultural destination and home to DeKalb Market Hall. Nosh your way through 40 Brooklyn and NYC-based food vendors — everything from artisanal donuts to authentic pierogies.
With your race number and shirt in hand, gear up for race day, picking up last minute supplies from Brooklyn Running Company at the Expo. Then get to bed early for Saturday’s race. You’ll line up in the heart of Brooklyn at Grand Army Plaza. The race starts in front of the Brooklyn Museum at 7 a.m.
The family- and spectator-friendly course means your friends can cheer for you in a bunch of spots before meeting you at the finish line in the middle of Prospect Park. Finish your day with a stroll through the park or stop by the Prospect Park Zoo and its historic carousel.
Register today and get set for the perfect fall running weekend at The NYCRUNS Brooklyn Marathon and Half Marathon.
