Anne Lamott at St. Joseph’s

By

One thing that I love about living in Brooklyn is that there are so many cool literary events and gatherings happening all the time, but particularly around this time of year. Fort Greene’s Greenlight Bookstore has hosted some really big name writers lately, and the streak continues with Monday night’s discussion with bestselling author Anne Lamott at St. Joseph’s College at 7:30pm on Oct. 22. Lamott will appear in conversation with priest and writer Edward L. Beck about her latest book, titled Almost Everything: Notes on Hope, a call to remind us of the small yet frequent moments in life that bring us new hope and insight, and can ultimately be the key to more happiness and satisfaction. All I can say to that is sign me up, please! Your $24 ticket includes a seat and a hardcover copy of the book, which Lamott herself will sign at the conclusion of the program.
