Sunday in Brooklyn: Watch the Marathon then get your grub on

By

As of press time, the weather for Marathon Sunday looks like glorious high 50s temps with plenty of sun, which means ideal conditions to watch the runners as they make their way through the Brooklyn stretch of the race (which, fun fact, is the longest leg of the course).

If all that watching other people perform feats of extreme athleticism makes you work up an appetite, Cook Space is hosting a Fall Pie Making Workshop from 11am on. Ensure your status as the MVP of your Thanksgiving gathering by learning how to make your own beautiful and delicious apple, sweet potato, chocolate caramel, and pear cardamom pies. Tickets are $95, and we’re guessing that involves a lot of samples in addition to the instruction. Or sign yourself up for a four-course pop-up Polish feast, which includes wine and a cocktail, at Cherry Point in Greenpoint. Tickets are $75 and dinner starts at 5:30pm. Mmmm. . .  pierogies. . .
