It’s fall in New York, and it’s actually New York City Cider Week, so it’s only natural that cider is having a moment, but we couldn’t help but notice that enthusiasm for alcoholic, dry versions of cider seems to be surging in general everywhere we look. I’ve heard excellent things about the Brooklyn Cider House, which I still haven’t checked out myself, from friends and through the grapevine, so I was excited to see that this Sunday, Nov. 11 they’re hosting a Hard Cider Festival and Market with free tastings from 20+ cideries from 11am-4pm and a Meet the Makers Dinner at 6pm, which features a 6-course dinner replete with 12 differents cider pairings from leading New York cideries such as Eve’s, Descendant, Blackduck, and more. Tickets are $125 each, but it sounds like a very memorable (and tasty) way to spend a Sunday night.
