How to make a gingerbread house from an expert cookie builder

By

Want to really impress your family at Christmas dinner this year? Join the New York Adventure Club at the Church of Sweden in Midtown on Saturday night for a gingerbread house making lesson from the best in the business, Jon Lovitch, a chef who currently holds the Guinness World Record for building the largest gingerbread village (his famed Gingerbread Lane holiday exhibit, now on display at the New York Hall of Science in Queens). From 7-9pm, Lovitch will teach you all the tips and tricks you need to construct, decorate, and preserve your own gingerbread house to take home with you. Tickets are $59, which includes instruction and all necessary materials, as well as recipes for other gingerbread-flavored desserts like cheesecake and bread pudding.
