Hear the symphonic alchemy of Tchaikovsky v. Drake at Kings Theatre Feb. 22

On February 22, the stage at Kings Theatre will be overflowing with 60+ musicians and singers to perform prodigy conductor/composer/arranger Steve Hackman’s symphonic fusion, Tchaikovsky v. Drake.

Just like his weaving together of Radiohead and Brahms in an epic performance at Kings Theatre last spring, Hackman has arranged a riveting performance of Tchaikovsky’s Fifth Symphony with 15 of Drake’s songs, synthesizing the Russian master’s classical music with the megastar’s rap lyrics.

Singers include India Carney, Malia Civetz, Mario Jose and Jecorey ‘1200’ Arthur, with special guests Tessa Lark, The Brooklyn Youth Chorus and opening act Ezinma, along with Hackman himself, for a show critics have called “barrier-breaking bliss.”
