A kite fest, vintage fashion at A Current Affair, and a food & wine tasting at Brooklyn Crush

By

The weather looks pretty fantastic for Saturday, so why not grab your camera and head to Brooklyn Bridge Park in Dumbo for Lift Off: A Waterfront Kite Festival from noon-3pm. It’s a free, family-friendly event featuring workshops, science experiments, and other activities, but you don’t need to have a kid in tow to enjoy the sun, the kite flying, or delicious snacks available from food trucks (check out our May Kids Calendar for more kid or child-at-heart event inspo). Afterwards, hop the ferry to Sunset Park, where you can shop a curated collection of jewelry and clothes at A Current Affair, Industry City’s semi-annual vintage marketplace from 10am-6pm (tickets $15), and sample a variety of wine and artisanal food at the Spring edition of the Brooklyn Crush festival. Tickets to one of the the 3-hour sessions start at $60. Cheers!
