Sunday in Brooklyn: North Brooklyn food bonanzas

By

Every day in Brooklyn has the potential to involve delicious food, but this Sunday seems like an especially opportune situation. The 2019 Brooklyn Taco Takedown is happening from 2-4pm at Lot45, which means that for a mere $25, you can partake in an all-you-can-eat taco extravaganza brought to you by a group of Brooklyn’s finest home chefs. Meanwhile, Canvas is hosting the New York Dark Food Festival from 3-9pm, which means you can try all kinds of mainly dessert foods that take their color and flavor from black sesame, charcoal, black coffee, and more. A ticket to one of three two-hour sessions are $15 apiece. Finally, Bushwick’s Bunton’s World Famous will host the Reverend Vince Anderson as DJ while his wife Millicent Souris and chef Ken Wiss prepare a proper soft shell crab fry up, with potato salad, pina coladas, and the Cape May Ferry Mary on the side. Dinner will be available from 4-8pm.
