The most exciting part of this weekend for me isn’t the day off of work (although that part is pretty awesome tbh) but, rather, the fact that beaches are finally open again! Take the opportunity to head to Coney Island, Fort Tilden, Riis Park, or the Rockaways and soak up some fun, sun, and a seaside beer while you settle in with an easy read in hand. If you’re in Riis Park, the Beach Bazaar is hosting a free dance party from noon to 6pm, and if you are on Rockaway Beach, be sure to avail yourself of my favorite summer treat at Connolly’s before you head back home to reality. Wherever you end up on Monday, be sure to slather on the SPF, as there’s nothing worse than that first sunburn of the season!
