Time-travel back to the 20s on Governors Island

By

Relive the 1920’s at The Jazz Age Lawn Party, now in its 14th year, taking place on Governors’ Island both days this weekend. People get REALLY into this—and the flapper costumes are fabulous– so if nothing else it’s people watching at its finest, but there’s lots of programmed entertainment to enjoy as well. Show off your Charleston on the giant dance floor as Michael Arenella & His Dreamland Orchestra play all the hits from the Prohibition Era, see a dance performance by the Dreamland Follies or the Canarsie Wobblers, challenge your friends to a game of croquet, and enjoy delicious summer cocktails and picnic food. Tickets start at $40 and the Sunday session runs from noon to 6pm.
