The annual NYC Pride March is coming up on June 30, and this year’s event is particularly special, commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall uprising. The Center for Book Arts is helping you get ready on Tuesday with a free poster-making session. From 6:30 to 9:30pm, drop by the Flatiron-based arts center and use their astounding selection of fonts and inks to print a poster to flaunt during the festivities. LGBTQ+ organizations will also be on hand to help you hone in on the decide message of solidarity and strength. While you’re there, be sure to check out the center’s exhibits, which celebrate books as art objects.
