Books Beneath the Bridge, a weekly series of literary readings en plein air in Brooklyn Bridge Park, is an awesome summer tradition that will add some moxie to any otherwise mundane Monday. This week’s installment is sponsored by Cobble Hill’s Books Are Magic, and will feature readings, Q&As, and signings with writers Susannah Cahalan (Brain on Fire) and Karen Abbott (Sin in the Second City). Cahalan will read from her latest title, The Great Pretender, and Abbott will be presenting The Ghost of Eden Park. The event starts at 7pm at The Granite Prospect, and it’s free to attend.
