On Friday night, Carroll Gardens’ Court Tree Gallery will be transformed into a Japanese-style tapas pop-up with the return of its Canteen series. This week, guest chef Yumi from K Seaweed will be serving delicious dishes like ginger shoyu fried chicken and shrimp tempura onigiri alongside an inspired cocktail menu featuring sake and shochu. An enormous mural by Jeremy “Yuto” Nakamura will be on display, and you can snag an early bird ticket to the event, which runs from 5-10pm, for $20.
Afterward, head on over to Industry City, where singer/songwriter Nick Hakim is bringing his mellow, moody sound to the stage at the City Farm Summer Series starting at 8pm. Tickets are $22.
