Red Hook Tavern opening night

By

Red Hook Tavern, the long-awaited, much-anticipated wine bar with snacks from Hometown Bar-be-que chef Billy Durney, opens tonight, and as of publishing, there were still a few reservations left on Resy for a late-night peek. Filled with vintage decor, like antique lamps salvaged from the old Prime Meats, the bar will feature natural wines, and the menu is limited to a classic cheeseburger, a chicken and mashed dish, and snacks like warm crab dip. There are just 40 seats, so the experience will be intimate and the wait will likely be long on this opening night and the following days. Of course, you could also check it out during our Red Hook Immersion August 3; it’s not a part of our food and Brooklyn Brewery beer tour, but it’s on the route and there are plenty of open seats.
