This weekend, The New York City Poetry Festival is back at Governors Island for its 9th year, which means that some 250 poets will be appearing on two stages in a unique, verdant setting, complete with art installations, film screenings, and food and drink vendors. This year’s headliners include Robert Pinsky, Dorothea Lasky, Chen Chen, Javier Zamora, and Lynne Melnick, and you can find the full schedule of readings here. The fun starts at 11am on both Saturday and Sunday, and is free to the public.
