See a classic Arthur Miller play on a barge in Red Hook

By

I’ve had a hankering to go to Red Hook lately, but with Pioneer Works closed for renovations, there hadn’t been a compelling cultural reason for me to head to the neighborhood. That changed when I learned of the Waterfront Museum, located on a barge docked in Red Hook, and open year-round on Saturdays and Thursdays. This month, the barge also acts as a theater for a production of Arthur Miller’s A View From the Bridge.

Tour the museum after work this Thursday, September 12, and then stay for an 8pm performance of Brave New World Repertory Theatre’s production—back after a sold-out 2018 run. A View From the Bridge has garnered solid press, and seems astonishingly relevant to our current social and political climate. Tickets to the play are $25 for general admission, and $18 for students/seniors. Admission to the Waterfront Museum is free.
