It seems so unusual that tickets to see David Cross would still available a week out from his show, but perhaps it’s because it’s held at a newish venue, The Sultan Room. Joining him Wednesday, Sept. 18 is the Found Footage Festival, so expect weird and random VHS clips in what should be a fun night in a cool music and performance venue that’s part of The Turk’s Inn—in and of itself a very fun place for drinks and dinner. A musician friend informed me that the word on the street is that The Sultan Room is a terrific space for artists (which holds up considering Alicia Keys and Janelle Monae played here recently for an Afropunk afterparty). Come see what the fuss is about. The night begins at 8:30pm and tickets are $10.
