First Saturdays at the Brooklyn Museum

By

It’s the first weekend of October, which means that the Brooklyn Museum is hosting another First Saturdays event on Saturday night, and the theme this month is Lantinx Pride. Programming for the evening, which starts at 5pm, includes the chance to have your portrait included in the Inside Out project by artist JR; live music from Edna Vazquez; a paper collage workshop; a salsa dance party; a screening of Rock Rubber 45s, a film about basketball, sneaker culture, and music; and a DJ set from Bobbito Garcia until late in the night. As always, the event is totally free.
