Did you know New York has an annual Rye Week? It celebrates this versatile grain’s importance to the state’s rich history of whiskey, cocktails, beer, flour—OK you get it. Apparently everything that is delicious comes from rye, so I find this celebration to be more than warranted. Enjoy a $10 distillation class hosted by Black Button Distilling at Barrow’s Intense Tasting Room in Industry City. Tickets include one specialty cocktail of your choice and the ability to taste Back Button’s “full portfolio,” so you know it’s bound to be a winning Thursday night.
