Kick off the weekend with some contra

By

Get your dancing shoes ready, because Brooklyn Contra is hosting its annual Harvest Waltz on Friday night at Camp Friendship in South Slope. Contra is a combo of swing and square dancing, and you will be paired up with a partner to twist and twirl the night away with. Fan favorites David Sidmand’s Elastic Band and caller Gaye Fifer will be on hand to provide a tip-top community dance party experience. And no worries if you are a novice—a $15 ticket includes a free group lesson at 7:30 before the fun gets into full swing at 8pm.
