The New Pornographers at Brooklyn Steel

By

The New Pornographers have been around for… awhile. I remember first listening to them in high school, when 15-year-old me found their name subversive. Expecting a grunge-y and intense sound, I was surprised by the catchy melodies and sweet vocals of their power pop, which I first heard in 2005’s Twin Cinema. More than a decade later, they’ve released a new album, In the Morse Code of Brake Lights, with A.C. Newman still at the songwriting helm, along with vocals from Neko Case—plus six other bandmates, new and old.

Lady Lamb opens the show at Brooklyn Steel, which starts at 8pm; doors are at 7pm. Tickets are $40 in advance and $45 day of show.
