What better way to head into the holidays than with a nostalgic revisiting of one of the principal characters in your childhood nightmares, Freddie Krueger? I am pretty confident that the last time I saw Wes Craven’s A Nightmare On Elm Street, I was at a 5th grade slumber party and spent the rest of the evening fighting off the urge to call my mom to come pick me up. Monday night’s screening of the iconic 1984 slasher flick at Nitehawk Prospect Park has to be a better experience than that, and I’m curious to see how the movie holds up after so many decades. Tickets are $15, the show starts at 9:45, and I’m just saying for the record that you might not want to walk home alone.
