Jennifer Egan at Center for Fiction

By

Writer Randy Cohen, who will always be The Ethicist to me, has been gathering people of interest and asking them to talk about one person, place, or thing that is important to them for his latest project, an interview show which is naturally called Person Place Thing.  The idea is that subjects are particularly engaging when speaking about something they care about, as opposed to directly about themselves, and it is hard to imagine that will not be the case when Cohen sits down with Pulitzer-Prize winning author Jennifer Egan on Friday night to discuss the research behind her wildly popular novel Manhattan Beach. The show, which is happening at 7pm at the Center for Fiction, will be recorded live for Northeast Public Radio, and will include live musical interludes from Duncan Wickel and Lily Henley. Tickets are $20.
