Kwanzaa Fest at Weeksville (nowhere near Santacon)

By

It’s BAAAAA-AAAACK! That’s right, people, hope you don’t have anything to do in Manhattan on Saturday because approximately one billion fratty people in Santa suits will be blazing a drunken path of puke, vape pens and general annoyingness from Times Square to the East Village as part of nobody’s favorite annual holiday tradition: the debacle known as Santacon. Avoid the other side of the East River at all costs, and instead head over to the Weeksville Heritage Center for a daylong Kwanzaa Celebration from noon-8pm. The party is family friendly and includes a variety of programming, including calypso dance, djembe drumming, arts & crafts, live dance and music performances, a sip & paint workshop, and a holiday shop. Admission is just a $10 suggested donation.
