ReFashion Week parties and workshops

By

Textile waste is a problem to which we all contribute, with significant repercussions for the climate. The good news is, you can do something about it! DonateNYC and the Foundation for New York’s Strongest are hosting the second annual ReFashion Week from February 22-28. This week of events includes a kick-off party, clothing swaps, mending workshops, and more, all culminating in a Refashion Show.

On February 25 alone, you can choose from five events all over the city. Learn how to make your own beauty products during a workshop and panel discussion at Capgemini near Union Square; tickets are just $15. Housing Works in SoHo will host a shopping party from 5-8pm; proceeds from whatever you buy will go towards their social justice initiatives. Another highlight is a knit repair workshop at Dusty Rose Vintage in Greenpoint from 6:30-8:30pm; tickets are $45.
