If ever there was a borough to go bananas over bikes, it’s Brooklyn. If you count yourself among the two-wheeled set, then the 8th Annual Bike Fetish Day should be right up your alley. With an all-out, all-afternoon celebration on Havemeyer, it’s basically a huge neighborhood block party for bikes, complete with activities, BBQ, specially crafted bike products for sale, and, of course, contests and awards across multiple bike platforms. So bring your best “mutant bike,” your cruisers, your low-riders, or just your general bike curiosity and enjoy a day in praise of all things wheeled and wonderful. Plus, the afterparty at City Reliquary with drinks from Brooklyn Brewery looks pretty darn fun too.
