On Thursday, the monthly storytelling series Funny Story, hosted by comedian, Tom Shillue, returns to Brooklyn Brewery with new co-conspirators (us!). Here’s the formula: Each month Tom and his team of comic geniuses find a few funny people with stories to tell, and so do we. His are comedians, ours are regular Brooklyn folk–chefs, writers, entrepreneurs–with narrative flair and a well developed sense of humor. In this edition you’ll hear Mara Wilson (who you may remember as the diminutive star of Matilda); Jason Fried–the co-founder of The Shed, a storytelling salon in Red Hook; and Jonathan Schnapp, an owner of the soon-to-open Royal Palms Shuffleboard Club, among others. Tickets include a beer and all the laughs you can stand.
