Donots is a German punk band that’s been crafting pop-punk records since 1993, releasing nine albums in the intervening 20 years (though only two of them have made it to the U.S.) The band’s toured repeatedly in Europe, opening for acts like Green Day, The Cure, Iggy Pop, Blink-182, The Hives and more. Its latest album Wake the Dogs finally means a U.S. tour for the first time in 20 years as a band, so you’ll be able to see in person why Billie Joe Armstrong insisted it be Green Day’s opening band on all dates of their German tour in 2010. This Sunday Donots takes over Greenpoint’s dark metal hide-away, St. Vitus.
