The Fourth Annual Meatball Slapdown is at Brooklyn Brewery on Thursday, April 4. Restaurants like Mile End, Ganso, Buttermilk Channel, Brooklyn Star, Prime Meats and Parish Hall will make their best meatballs, and for $50 you get all the balls and beer you can stomach. Better yet? It’s all for the kids. Proceeds from the event go to Classrooms in the Kitchen, a program that teaches kids about where food actually comes from and how to cook it, and CityGrowers, which teaches farming to city kids.
