bb_poster_radius_summer_LIC_11x17printLong Island City is a perfect neighborhood for a day trip and an excellent place to bar and brunch hop during our Total Long Island City Immersion with Brooklyn Brewery this Saturday, July 13.

Starting at noon this Saturday, you can pick up one of our 500 FREE Immersion cards at either Alewife (5-14 51st Ave.) or LIC Bar (45-58 Vernon Blvd.). Once you have the card in hand you can score complimentary cups of Summer Ale, Brooklyn Lager and more Brooklyn brews at LIC Bar, Dominie’s Hoek, Alewife and Corner Bistro, and get complimentary glasses of Local 1 and Sorachi Ace over brunch at Alobar and Manducatis Rustica.

In between brews, there are plenty of pitstops to make. The soon-to-be-demolished graffiti mecca, 5Pointz Aerosol Art Center, the Warm Up dance parties at PS 1, and Socrates Sculpture Park are just a few of the cultural pickings in LIC, and this year marks the debut of the LIC Flea, so you can get your food truck fix and shopping on, too. Even better, Immersion card holders get $1 off Oaxaca Tacos, $1 off sliders at Bill’s Balls NYC, $1 off any brisket sandwich from Butcher Bar with a drink, and 11+ more deals listed here.

After the Immersion, we’ll have an awesome, free comedy show at The Creek and The Cave with Sara Schaefer, James Adomian, Michael Che, and Marina Franklin, hosted by Maddog Matern. The show is made possible by supporting sponsor ENIGMA, an outdoor theatrical adventure that just debuted.

A map of all the stops and specials is here and we’ve lined up four ways to get to LIC, including a free ride! For updates on the Immersion, be sure to follow @BrooklynBased and @BrooklynBrewery on Twitter and RSVP on Facebook. See you July 13 in LIC!
