It may be that Fort Greene and Park Slope are the most widely-recognized literary neighborhoods in Brooklyn, but if you head south to Bay Ridge you’ll soon discover that it’s home to its own impressive array of authors. Join 12 established members of the local literary scene in conversation this Saturday at Meet the Writers of Bay Ridge, a book sale, signing and discussion of nearby restaurants, cookbooks, entrepreneurship, publishing, storytelling, self-help, and the area’s secret literary past. Featured participants include the people behind Robicelli’s, Tanoreen, Butter & Scotch and the Brooklyn Chef’s Table cookbook, as well as authors Cara Alwill and Ken Wheaton and Henry Stewart. L Magazine culture editor. The event is free to anyone who swings by the second floor of the Bay Ridge Public Library at 1pm.
