Spring wedding season has hit its peak, and while there is no shortage of talk about crinoline, cakes and all the other nuances that go into planning your nuptials, we guarantee that no other wedding conversation will be quite like the panel discussion taking place Tuesday night at Community Bookstore. At 7pm, authors Jen Doll (Save the Date: The Occasional Mortifications of a Serial Wedding Guest) and J. Courtney Sullivan (The Engagements) will join Jezebel editor-in-chief Jessica Coen to discuss writing about weddings and the literary world’s proclivity for books about the big day. The trio will also talk about looking for love in an era when the anxiety, independence and indecision surrounding marriage so has never been higher. Affianced couples with cold feet might want to skip this one.
