Wednesday, Dec. 24: If you should find yourself in town this Christmas Eve and don’t want to order takeout, there are plenty of great Christmas Eve dinner options in Brooklyn. Those interested in the great Jewish holiday tradition of eating Chinese food should head to Mile End Deli in Boerum Hill where chef Noah Bernamoff will serve Sino-Judean fare like hot and sour soup with chicken liver dumplings and corned beef and kraut wontons. Shoot anemail to catering@mileenddeli.com or call 646-494-9508 to make $65 reservations.

Meanwhile, Pacifico’s Fine Foods in Crown Heights is celebrating the Feast of the Seven Fishes—or La Vigilia for the Italians among us—with a Brazilian twist. The four-course, family-style dinner will feature bacalhau, dried and salted cod; moqueca, a coconut milk-based fish stew; and other delicious fare from the South American country. You $45-reservation can be made online.

And if you’ll be in the Greenpoint area come Christmas Eve, head to Le Fond for the best in comfort food. The French eatery will serve up a family-style dinner featuring dishes like cider-brined pork and goose à l’orange among other delicacies. To make a reservation (and pay the 50% deposit for the meal), send an email to contact@lefondbk.com–N.R.
