It’s hard to believe, but 3rd Ward is already turning five (time flies when you’re drinking and drawing.) To celebrate, they’re holding their annual birthday BBQ on Saturday. The always-fun event includes free demos and workshops on topics like bike maintenance, jewelry-making, and composting; a special edition of their Moviehouse series featuring a battle between Jesse Mann and Sebastian the Sand Animato; and a photo exhibition of the 2011 Red Hook Crit. Musicians and bands like Cleek Schrey, Murder Mystery, and Ben Simon are also slated to perform. RSVP on their site to make sure you don’t miss out on all the food/bike/art madness.
