Satisfy a deeper hunger at Sunday’s Moviehouse screening at 3rd Ward. This session’s films both focus on the love for and desire to know more about family, with delicious snacks to boot. Every Day is a Holiday, by Theresa Loong, tells the story of the filmmaker’s father and the route he took to become an American citizen, including three years in a Japanese POW camp; Alana Lowe and Paul Helzer’s Cooking By Heart compiles short videos of people making family-favorite dishes along with a loved one. Two cooks featured in Cooking By Heart (including our own Chitra Agrawal) will be serving an Indian-Nigerian dish, and a zany performance by MNP is also promised.
