It’s Invisible Dog’s 9th annual open studios this weekend, May 5-6, where you can see some of the most interesting performance artists, illustrators, designers and stuffmakers in the place where they bring their ideas and artworks to life. From noon to 7pm on Saturday and noon to 5pm on Sunday, you can tour the dozens of studios inside the Cobble Hill art center and pay a visit to its next door, see-through gallery, The Glass House, for Kalen Holleman’s “Important Portraits,” an exhibition of “hand drawn, enlarged copies of found amateur police and memory sketches that seek to explore relationships between perception and reality, intention and bias, communication and reproduction.” Children’s book illustrator Oliver Jeffers will be performing a childhood game of his own invention in the elevator and artists Mac Premo and Anne Mourier will have their own special installations as well. A reception on Saturday, May 5 from 7-10pm is a chance to mingle with the artists and check out the interior garden.
