No, seriously. The Museum of Modern Art is crawling with spiders. And they’re kinda huge. Thankfully, however, they’re supposed to be there. This Sunday, Louise Bourgeois: An Unfolding Portrait opens at the MoMA, a comprehensive catalog of the beloved sculptor’s less-known works. In addition to her glorious, massive spider sculptures, the exhibit will feature paintings, illustrations, prints, and watercolors, all providing an unprecedented, unfiltered look into the imaginative mind of the prolific French artist. For the ultimate Bourgeois fans, MoMA will be hosting a number of events surrounding the work of the artist, including a conversation with novelist Siri Hustvedt and a detailed talk on the printmaking process.
