Ovenly’s Opening Day Menu

By

After selling their sweet and savory baked treats wholesale for over a year, the women behind Ovenly–which we profiled way back when–are finally opening their own storefront in Greenpoint on May 25. With Transmitter Park due to open sometime in June, this means it will be impossible to have a picnic at the end of Greenpoint Avenue without first making a quick stop at Ovenly for one of their Jam Stand Jelly Donut Muffins/Salted Chocolate Chip Cookies/Cheddar Scallion Hot Tarts. The full opening day menu, so you can start your Ovenly cravings now, is here

Right now you can find Ovenly’s sweets and snacks at roughly 40 bars and cafes throughout Brooklyn and Manhattan. But having their own retail shop, with seating for 10, means Erin Patinkin and Agatha Kulaga will be able to experiment with their already experimental pastries, and bring back old favorites like stuffed croissants (due in a month or two).

They’ve got thoughtful deals for commuters–50% off coffee for ferry riders, 10% off purchases for anyone who brings in their bike helmet–and are collaborating with lots of locals. Brooklyn Brewery provides the Chocolate Stout for their Brooklyn Blackout Cake, Eastern District supplies cheese for their quiches, Eagle Street Rooftop Farm grows their herbs, and Stumptown is their coffee roaster of choice. The caffeinated options will be drip and cold brew in the near term; espresso will come later.

Hours are Thursday through Tuesday 7am to 6pm (though don’t hold them to these hours on opening day); address is 31 Greenpoint Avenue. More details at oven.ly.
