It feels like I say this every week nowadays, but man has it been A WEEK! Unwind from all the election/corona-related stress this Friday night by ditching your phone and committing yourself to a no-pressure drawing workshop with strangers at Magick City. The beauty of Playing with Failure is that “failure” is a foregone conclusion—you are encouraged to take creative risks and to engage in activities that are designed to inhibit your ability to control the outcome of your work. The results are “revoltingly beautiful failures,” which sounds fun and freeing. Obviously, people of all skill levels are welcome to this event, and it seems like the kind of thing that you can’t leave without having made at least one or two new friends.
