Hope springs eternal in a garden full of spring blossoms

By

Like so many other events that people were looking forward to (hi, entire NBA season), the annual Making Brooklyn Bloom event at Brooklyn Botanic Garden, which was slated for Saturday and usually draws a few thousand people, has been canceled due to coronavirus concerns. The disappointing announcement on the BBG’s site continues as follows: “The Garden, meanwhile, will remain open, and we encourage you to join us to see the early signs of spring on what looks to be a mild and sunny day. We hope that whatever disruptions to daily life this situation represents, you might still find comfort and optimism in the beauty of Brooklyn Botanic Garden.” That sounds pretty tempting right about now, doesn’t it?
