An untraditional Valentine’s Day

By

It’s Valentine’s Day, and if you don’t have a romantic dinner for two lined up (not to mention a special person to eat that dinner with), consider taking yourself out for a Friday night on the town. If you feel like showing off your smarts, Greenpoint’s Archestratus Books + Food is throwing a themed trivia night called Teach Me Sweetheart at 8pm. Quizmaster Lucy Levine will emcee four rounds of trivia, with Valentine’s decorations and the chance to win beer, arancini, cookies, and bragging rights. Registration is free, but there’s a two-drink minimum, which might just give you the courage to talk to a cute stranger who needs a teammate. Meanwhile, across town, Gemini & Scorpio is once again hosting its annual Steamy Valentine’s Night at Brooklyn Banya from 7pm- 2am. You’ll have access to Russian, Turkish and Swedish steam rooms, a jacuzzi, a cold plunge pool, a rocking dance floor featuring a live bass band, pierogies, and an open vodka bar, and who could ask for more than that? Tickets start at $45 and will likely sell out.
