All the stars are aligning for Books are Magic’s third birthday. The bookstore’s owner, novelist Emma Straub, has a new book out this month, All Adults Here, a multigenerational story about a mother looking back on her past parenting mistakes now that her children are adults themselves. In lieu of a virtual book party, she has planned something more fun: a talk show! It “airs” on Zoom on May 5 with Straub, Lauren Graham, performances by Sharon van Etten and Stephin Merritt, plus interviews with debut authors Alexandra Chang, Afia Atakora, and Tobly McSmith.
