A Night of Jewish-Muslim Storytelling

By

While we’re all holding our breath waiting for Jared Kushner to “solve” the problems in the Middle East, I’m thinking I might use the time to head to the Brooklyn Jewish Art Gallery at CKI on Thursday night at 8:15pm and listen to personal stories straight from a group of Muslim and Jewish writers on the topic of freedom. Eli Reiter, who hosts the monthly Long Story Short show, will emcee the event, which features performances by Amy Klein (The New York Times, Salon), Aymann Ismail (Slate’s Who’s Afraid of Aymann Ismail), Mansoor Basha (Moth Radio Hour, Risk!), Sandi Marx (PBS’ Stories From the Stage, The Moth), and Dennis Sadik Kirschbaum (Kreuzberg Initiative Against Antisemitism). Tickets are $10 if you buy them online and $15 at the door.
