The Coolest Way to Serve Your Fancy Foods: Brooklyn Slate Company

By

Brooklyn Slate began as a collaboration between two food-obsessed Brooklynites who discovered that all-natural slate is a fantastic way to plate your favorite cheeses and cocktail party nibbles. Sourced from their family’s third-generation quarry in upstate New York, their one-of-a-kind cheese boards are cut and cleaned to be food safe, then chipped for a rough-hewn look. Below are five gift ideas that are perfect for every kind of food lover, but Brooklyn Slate has many more gift sets and tools, even for gardeners, at their Red Hook shop (305 Van Brunt St.) and online. When you spend over $100, you get a free tote, too.
