BROOKLYN HEIGHTS It’s finally that time of year when a young man’s (or woman’s) thoughts turn to baseball; to fill the time between spring training and that first Yankees/Mets/Cyclones game, the Brooklyn Historical Society has kindly put together a film series focusing on the storied tradition of baseball in Brooklyn. BHS will be screening three films on three consecutive Sunday afternoons in conjunction with their Home Base: Memories of the Brooklyn Dodgers at Ebbets Field exhibition. This week, The Brooklyn Dodgers: An American Treasure will be shown; the film takes viewers through the history of the Dodgers from the 1880s through their move out of Brooklyn in 1957.
