Comedic Chronicle

Brooklyn funnyman Michael Showalter has certainly made his mark on the local comedy scene; the comedian was once regularly found at Union Hall’s now-defunct Tearing the Veil of Maya and now frequently appears at the venue’s Pretty Good Friends. This week, he’s releasing Mr. Funny Pants, a comedic memoir, and accordingly will be appearing in the borough to celebrate the release. Though Sunday’s launch-themed Pretty Good Friends at the Bell House is already sold out, you can still catch Showalter at BookCourt on Tuesday evening, where he will be reading from and signing the book.
