Artists Carrie Schaltz and Zach Hyman won an Open Call contest at 3rd Ward and used the prize money to create PREYGROUND, a multimedia show featuring photographs, videos and masks that will be displayed to the public for the first time at its opening premiere on Friday. The work, which features images of the artists nude and wearing masks, explores the contrast between the raw, animalistic side of human nature and the repressive societal mores to which we all succumb. Pair the arresting imagery with free drinks and live music and you have the makings of a perfect Friday evening. Admission is free but an RSVP is required.
