Modern Art Mashup

BRIC Rotunda Gallery, the borough’s oldest continuously operating contemporary art space, turns 30 this year. In honor of the occasion, about 50 of the 1,500 or so artists who have exhibited there over the past three decades have been invited back for a special show entitled 30: A Brooklyn Salon Celebrating Thirty Years of Contemporary Art. The show, which is curated by Contemporary Art Director Elizabeth Ferrer, promises a diverse mix of media and subject matter. If you can’t make it to the free opening reception tonight at 7pm, be sure to check it out before the show comes down on October 29.
