Better Drinking, Better Living

By

It’s officially dinner party season–even with this blast of Indian summer in the air–and if you want to learn how to pair wine with the next dinner you host, or how to be a more gracious guest by bringing better wine to the next event you’re invited to, Brooklyn Kitchen has a class for you. On Friday, October 21, Beth Lieberman, sommelier at Momofuku Ko, will demystify wine and food pairings with Fundamentals of the Vine, a class that will take the anxiety and confusion out of your next trip to the wine store. You’ll learn the difference between wine aged in oak and stainless steel, figure out how to taste the climate where the grapes in your glass were grown, and stop feeling like a faker when you talk about tannins. Best of all, there will be plenty of tasting to facilitate all the learning. Snacks and wine will be served, class begins at 6:30pm, $50.
